Bio
Music has always been an important part of my life from an early age until this very day. I was told that I started singing when I was two and was singing 3-part harmony by the time I was four. By six, I was performing in a church choir where many of the songs were sung in Latin. I wrote my first songs shortly after.
Though I continued to sing, it wasn't until I was in college that I began playing instruments, first a bit of harmonica, and then the guitar. I did my first primitive recordings during my sophomore year. My first at home recording setup was assembled in 1976, and it has progressed from cassettes to a full digital studio that allows me to produce music from start to finish. Over the years, I've added many different instruments and synthesizers to the mix which has allowed me near endless possibilities in regard to style and substance.
I have written over 800 songs and have recorded 59 albums of original music. This site will allow me to share some of those songs with anyone who is curious enough to stop by. What you will hear are songs that are the result of a lifetime of singing, playing, writing, and musical production. I create music that I enjoy, and hopefully, you will feel the same after listening.
In addition to music, video and photos, this site also contains a number of my writings including my book, “The Truck and I," as well as some newspaper columns and essays.
I hope you enjoy your visits to my creative space.
